1. Presentation of the subject
The subject is aimed to offer students the theoretical and practical tools and the framework for the creation of an interactive based in the subject of cultural diffusion or educational interactive.
It is an essentially practical subject but with a solid theory base that links with the rest of main subjects of the area of Interactive Communication. Among these subjects there is Script and Interactive Design, which offers students a wide base of work with scripts and the process of design of an interactive. The Creation of Educational and Cultural Interactive Workshop is based on this to be focus much more in the production, edition and ending of the final project.
The programming sessions will be carried out with Adobe Flash and its programming language ActionScript 3. The goal is to endow students with resources and knowledge on programming and producing to carry out the final project.
As mentioned, the subject collects and extends some theoretical and practical aspects of previous subjects of the area, and it can act as a preparation or test to a Final work in interactive communication
2. Competences to be attained
Capacity to apply knowledge and understanding in a professional way in order to carry out the job or profession, and to have competences that are usually proved through the elaboration and uphold of arguments and solving problems in the field of study itself.
Capacity for communicating information, ideas, problems and solutions in expert audiences as well as non expert ones.
Learning skills that allow continuing the studies in a widely self-guided or autonomous way.
Capacity for applying knowledge and understanding, as well as skills to solve problems, in new or non familiar environments and in wide contexts (or multidisciplinary) related to their field of study.Capacity and skills to manage production, design and direction processes of the audiovisual work.
Skills in communicative knowledge and its inter-relationship with social sciences and new technologies.
Capacity and skills for creativity and innovation.
Capacity and skills to use computer systems and resources, and its interactive applications.
3. Contents
The structure is divided into a theory and a practice part. As the weeks move on, there will be more emphasis in the practice part.
The theory will be accompanied by viewings and presentation of interactives in several formats, as well as by professors.
Regarding the practice sessions, besides the master classes explanations, students will have a series of assignments to keep working individually in class with the professor as well as autonomously. These assignments, 10 in total, are a tutorial that will be a training base for students in this environment.
The last sessions will be completely dedicated to the work in the final project, which will be carried out by groups.
Theory syllabus:
· Unit 1: Educational and Cultural Interactives
· Unit 2: Interactive design
· Unit 3: Interactive sript
· Unit 4: Interactive production
Practice syllabus:
· Introduction to Flash
· Multiple media in Flash
· Introduction to ActionScript programming
· Basic Interactivity: Animation by code
· Interactivity with ActionScript
4. Assessment
The subject will mainly be assessed by the final project, the project itself and its prototype as well as its memory. A small part of the assessment will be the interactive group presentations.

5.3. Teaching resources
Subject's learning materials, available in the Campus Global:
. Slides projected during the theory sessions.
. Programming assignments (10 autonomous assignments). These assignments, that all together form a tutorial, will be the didactic base for the programming and control of the CS3 Flash environment.
. Additional material: Examples of CS3 Flash to deepen in certain interactive programming techniques. . For cases where reinforcing knowledge is necessary, or for punctual resources (as for example the synopsis document of the interactive script), other materials from other subjects of the area of Interactive Communication will be provided.
6. Metodology
The course is structured by master classes, seminars, public presentations and debates and teamwork in class hours according to the distribution detailed in the section 7. The teamwork the individual work and the personal study will also be necessary out of class hours
