1. Presentation of the subject

The course aims to provide students with an introduction to the Psychology of the basic knowledge about fundamental elements and issues of General Psychology and Social Psychology. It specially emphasizes on necessary content and skills for future graduates in Humanities. After an introduction and a presentation of the history of Psychology, schools and orientations, the main works and authors are done. The topics of the syllabus are five (5): Personality and its fundamentals, motivation and contemporary theoretical trends, Psychoanalysis and its relationship to the humanities and culture: Freudian and postfreudian theories and systems, Social Psychology of cognition and social interaction, and finally the group and its dynamics applied.

The lectures for the whole class are useful to introduce the two disciplines: What are Psychology and Social Psychology and for what are they useful for a graduate in Humanities? The seminars are aimed at acquiring knowledge and skills about the group and the dynamics of the group seminar itself.

4. Assessment

Recovery of the Psychology, in accordance with the instructions of the Faculty of Humanities, the recovery of the students suspended of this Psychology will realise the month of July of the same course.
