1. Presentation of the subject

This course will deal with Scientific Thought in the Antiquity and the Middle Ages in relation with the social and cultural context.

1.    Using paper and electronic bibliographical sources. 2.    Arguing and defending arguments in a coherent fashion. 3.    Using the scientific and historical terminology for the analysis of scientific texts. 4.    Being able to develop an analytical mind	1.    Knowledge of the most relevant events in Ancient and Medieval Science History. 2.    Knowledge of the secondary bibliography in Ancient and Medieval Science History. 3.    An analysis of the recent debates on Ancient and Medieval Science History. 4.    Acquisition of an analytical perspective on the relations between the past and the present.
