1. Presentation of the subject
Religious philosophy at the Kyoto School: Eastern sources.
Study and interpretation of the outstanding periods, schools, movements, works and authors in the history of thought and religion in Asia.

1. Knowing and locating the Kyoto School's contributions to the history of philosophy in general and the cultural Japanese tradition in particular. 2. Having a good understanding of the main ideas developed by philosophical and spiritual Asian traditions and the reception they had in the Kyoto School. 3. Having a better understanding of the formation and dynamics of the basic concepts of the studied traditions and philosophies. 4. Becoming familiar with the suggested texts, learning how to carefully interpret them, studying the principal questions in depth and the problems and necessities they obey. |
