1. Presentation of the subject
During the second term there is a presentation. Students are told about the organization of the course and given some examples of possible research topics.
2. Competences to be attained
Writing a research paper at a second-year-student level.
Being creative, rigorous and real world driven.
Being able to identify a real world issue that has not been addressed and being able to answer the relevant questions with the time and knowledge at hand.
3. Contents
There is a 25 minutes presentation followed by 5 minutes of reply by another group and by 5 more minutes of general discussion.
4. Assessment
Evaluation criteria:
• Topic selection
• Quality of written work
• Quality of oral presentation
• Responses during discussion
• Reply to other group presentations
• Participation in the general discussion
• Participation in class meetings
• There is no June or September exam
Evaluation also depends on:
• Attending to a minimum of 12 presentations
• Oral presentation
• Written presentation
• Reply to other groups
• Class attendance
