Course Description
This course provides an introduction to the economic analysis
of behaviour and institutions of the labor market. The lectures
and textbooks will develop an application of economic analysis
to the behaviour of, and relationship between, employers and employees.
The course will focus both on the theories that have been developed
to understand the functioning of the labor market, and on the
analysis and evaluation of public policies. The latter will therefore
involve examining how to distinguish alternative theories empirically.
