Objectives

This course has three goals: (1) to help you better understand and analyse the structure, meaning, and use in context of English clauses, ultimately in order to help you become a better and more informed user of the English language; (2) to identify and work on specific areas of contrast between English and your A languages which tend to create problems for translation; and (3) to help you develop your general skills in English.
