Llengua i Literatura Angleses I-II-III(12184)
L´objectiu general d’aquesta assignatura és el de desenvolupar estratègies de lectura que facilitin la comprensió i la lectura crítica de textos de la tradició literària en llengua anglesa. Es pretén, d'altra banda, familiaritzar els estudiants amb els diversos gèneres i registres literaris utilitzats per autors que van des de Shakespeare fins a autors contemporanis. El curs proposa la lectura aprofundida i l'anàlisi estilística de textos canònics així com la lectura extensiva de narracions i obres teatrals breus d'autors del segle xx. De les classes pràctiques es dedica un primer mòdul de cinquanta hores a la consolidació d'un nivell avançat de coneixements lèxics i sintàctics amb un èmfasi especial en els registres acadèmics (tant de comprensió com d'expressió escrita) de la llengua. Les deu últimes sessions es dediquen a l'estudi aprofundit d'una novel·la d'un autor del segle xx.
